The club competition is officially on for 2025 and it's off to a good start. First of all, I would like to thank Grain Theory for hosting, and a big thanks for our judges, Matt, Eric, David, Teresa, Travis and Brian. Your time is always appreciated and very helpful for our competition. This first competition was a best beer competition, and we had nine entries. The top 3 were separated by only 1.5 points and the top 2 had to go to a second-round tie breaker.
The results are:
1st place - Kevin Moore, Belgian Dubbel 45.5 points
2nd place - Peggy Jones, Strawberry Blonde 45.5 points
3rd place - Dave Weber, American Stout 44 points
Our next competition will be either the single style or the wort challenge. The wort challenge will benefit the club campout and there will be a $10 fee for the wort. We should have the details in the next 10 days.
Again, thank you everyone for your continued support, and good luck on the next one!
