October Brew Blast
Well September has come and gone so let’s recap. Our second bar is almost complete and only requires a few more finishing touches. Thank you, Russell and Dave, and everyone else that has contributed to it. It looks very nice.
Based on feedback I have received about our campout I would say the new site was a hit. The extra day provided much more flexibility for members to attend without anyone feeling rushed. The food as always was good. I think the standouts were Randy's apple cinnamon spice pork rinds, Carol’s Mississippi pot roast, and Marty's potato salad.
The month ended with the Beer Summit which is always fun. We had a good showing of members there. Eric’s game, along with the stickers and koozies, was a great conversation starter. As always, we had a number of people stop and ask what were about and inquire how to participate.
Upcoming Events
Iron Mash - We have a team attending Iron Mash on October 4th, so stay by your phone if they reach out for input. Expect the food pairing and winner announcement in February.
Club Raffle - There are 9 raffle tickets left. If anyone needs extra talk to Gary. Hopefully we can do the drawing at October's meeting.
October Club Brew and Meeting - The October club meeting will be held on October 17th at Dan and Carol’s house. We will also be brewing a club brew followed by a beer dinner.
The club brew will begin at 12:30 and will be a 10 gallon batch of Strong Ale. Dan will ferment 5 gallons, and we need 1 or 2 more members to ferment the rest either one 5 gallon or two 2.5 gallon batches. The meeting will take place at the end of the brew with the beer dinner starting at 6.
There are many ways you can participate in the brew including helping brew, bringing snacks/ beverages, and providing ingredients.

Club Elections - Don’t forget to nominate for the three 1-year and two 2-year board positions as well as club officers President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer.
