From the President
June has come and gone, and it was eventful. The club bar is now repaired and better than ever. We had an awesome beer dinner, thank you Pat and Marty for hosting. Our wort challenge is underway and hopefully everyone’s beers are aging nicely. We also received the results of the KGB competition in which the club entered two versions of the Belgian Golden Strong. Overall, I think we did very well. I will have samples of both beers that were entered and the score sheets for a tech talk at the July meeting.
New Business
July is also shaping up to be a busy month. Our monthly club meeting will be held at Stacie and Randy Valdez‘s home in Eula on July 12. The meeting will start at six. As always bring snacks and beer. We will have a wide variety of topics to talk about including:
- repairing and rebuilding of the old bar with hopes to sell
-details on the fundraising raffle
-planning the club camp out
-beer summit
-And believe it or not, it’s not too early to mention Bluebonnet
So everyone put your thinking caps on so these activities can go forward and be planned out
Upcoming Events
Sometime at the end of July or beginning of August, we will hold the judging for the wort challenge down in San Angelo. I’m waiting for dates from Dan. Hopefully I will have them at the meeting.
July Beer Dinner date and location TBD, watch for follow up email.
